Seafood Chiefs

About Us

Partners in Tradition, Anchored in Community

Seafood Chiefs is a proud division of Big Rig Ventures Inc., built on the rich fishing traditions of Indigenous communities and the deep waters off British Columbia’s coast.

With the blessings of respected Chiefs and the enduring support of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, Squamish Band, Haida Gwaii, and Matsqui First Nation, Seafood Chiefs was founded not just as a seafood company — but as a cultural bridge between generations, communities, and traditions.

William Porier – Co-Founder

A proud Indigenous fisherman and lifelong resident of British Columbia, William carries the strength of his people and the knowledge of the sea in every step. His life’s work has been a testament to giving back — to his community, to local fishermen, and to those who lifted him along the way. His story is not only about catching fish, but about uplifting others.

Anthony Cappellano – Co-Founder

Born and raised in Vancouver, Anthony’s journey began in the embrace of the Pacific and in the company of friends who welcomed him into their Indigenous traditions. From childhood fishing trips to learning the rhythms of the land, his roots were shaped by the hands of those who came before. Founding Seafood Chiefs with the support of the communities that shaped him has been both a calling and an honour.

Our Story

Will and Anthony have been long-time friends. Will saw the excitement and passion in Anthony about Indigenous culture and lifestyle. Together, they formed Seafood Chiefs — blending respect, tradition, and entrepreneurship to create something that uplifts community and honours the ocean.

At Seafood Chiefs, we don’t just distribute seafood. We share a legacy — one that belongs to the people of the coast, and the waters that feed us all.
